If you'll visit to the shrine, you have to keep the three things as following.

2, Show your acknowledgement for the God.
3, Tell your mind for the new year as the first of the year.

It leads you success, and makes you better.

4, Don't ask so many things for the God, because the God is too busy to hear such things from the people who are in the darkness. You got it?
